Trees - Week 3

27th October 2014
Week 3 wasn't the most productive in regards to quantity but it probably resulted in the better images. Only 4 images posted here but each one different. I guess it also shows a progression in regards to the style of image taken.

Images 1 - an early morning trip to Garwick for sunrise......not much of one but probably better for making the tree outline the star rather than having to compete with a bright sunrise sky.

Image 2 - Taking the silhouette tree look to the next stage. It really is the star here - but for me it's the tree on the bottom left that holds it all together. It provides that sense of order in amongst the chaos. It looks black and white but it was actually taken on a grotty grey October day....no shortage of those this month.

Image 3 - Often it's the foliage and not the tree that makes the shot. That's the case here. But the two tree trunks work well as contrast - both in shape and form and colour.

Image 4 - Man and Mother Nature competing for the same space. Bold lines contrasting against the natural tree trunk.
